We have restrictions regarding carry-on and checked baggage. Please check our restrictions before preparation of your flights.

Restricted Items (Dangerous Goods)

For those customers departing from Taipei

When dangerous article(s) is found inside the check-in baggage, open inspection of the baggage will be made with our ground staff as an attendee. We will page the owner of the baggage as soon as the dangerous article(s) is found, but if the owner of the baggage does not show up, our attendee will eliminate the dangerous article(s) from the baggage. For our safety operation of the aircraft, we appreciate your understanding. After check-in, please make sure that your baggage have gone through security screening before leaving the counter.

Articles that CANNOT be in check-in baggage:
Portable cell-phone charger, lithium ion battery, lighters (only one lighter can be carried on board).
Articles that MUST be in check-in baggage:
Tripod, sharp article(s), and liquids, and etc.

Handling of restricted items at the airport

  • If you have any dangerous goods that cannot be either handled at the airport, as checked or carry-on luggage, you must discard them in the "box for abandoned property".
  • Also, if you have any prohibited items to carry on, you must check them in at the baggage counter or discard them in the "box for abandoned property", which is placed in the security inspection checkpoint.
  • We will not be responsible for, nor have any liability in respect of, items removed from passengers or their baggage by airport security personnel acting in accordance with international or government regulations, whether or not any such items are subsequently retained or destroyed by such airport security personnel, or are passed by such airport security personnel to us.

Restricted Checked and Carry-on Baggage (Liquid)

 Domestic 

Alcoholic beverages

Carriage of alcoholic beverages exceeding 24% by volume but not exceeding 70% by volume is limited to 5 liters in total per person whether it is checked or hand-carried. Alcoholic beverages containing more than 70% are prohibited to both check and carry-on.

Non-radioactive medical or toilet articles

Such as hair sprays, perfumes, colognes and medicines containing alcohol.The net quantity of each single article must not exceed 0.5kg (1lb) or 0.5L (1pt).

 International 

Any liquid

Any LAGs (Liquids, aerosols and gels) carried in a container larger than 100ml are not to be accepted as a carry-on item, even if the container is only part-filled. They should be placed in checked baggage.

  • Any LAGs carried in a container larger than 100ml are not to be accepted as a carry-on item, even if the container is only part-filled. They should be placed in checked baggage.
  • LAGs are Drinks, shaving foam, lotions, oils, perfumes, aerosols shampoos, toothpaste, semi-solid materials and all other articles and materials similar consistency.
  • Containers with LAGs should be placed in a transparent re-sealable plastic bag of a maximum capacity not exceeding one liter. The containers must fit comfortably within the transparent plastic bag, which should be completely closed.
  • Any LAGs carried in a container larger than 100ml are not to be accepted as a carry-on item, even if the container is only part-filled. They should be placed in checked baggage.
  • It should be presented separately at the security checkpoint.
  • A transparent re-sealable plastic bag of a maximum capacity not exceeding one liter and within 20cm(7.8inch) long and 20cm(7.8inch) wide.

There is following restriction on liquids that you purchase at a duty-free shop.

  • If you check seafoods or pickles, please pack them with watertight bags.
Web Check-in is only available for Japan domestic flights.
